By Movieguide® Contributor
Katy Nichole’s latest single, “When I Fall,” is already going viral, with thousands of views on YouTube and TikTok.
“‘When I Fall’ was a song I wrote out of complete desperation,” the singer said in a statement about the track. “I just wept at my piano, and I cried out feeling so mentally, spiritually and physically drained.”
Nichole continued, “The words I sang were what I was praying in that moment. So tired of trying to just be OK, I decided to be honest with myself and with God, and God met me exactly where I was. I felt so much peace bringing all that I am to the feet of Jesus. Whether it be joy or sadness or just my frustration, I knew I could talk to Jesus about anything, and he would love me through it.”
She also shared Psalm 27:7-8, adding, “This verse reminds me to be persistent and unwavering in my prayer. Because the Lord is listening and in His presence is where I will find everything that I need.”

“Every time i listen to this song, its a reminder that no matter how hard i am struggling mentally with my battles. and it feels as if i am slipping. i know God is there and he will catch me When I Fall,” one user commented on the video.
Another wrote, “Katy, I just heard the song on the radio and listened again online because it’s that good. And on the radio you spoke and sounded like you were wondering or thinking you’re not helping but I want to assure you you are. I’m confident I speak for at least tens of thousands and probably millions when I say ‘We love you, and thank you for creating prayer-songs (Psalms) that we can pray with you’, because most of us stumble over our words and confuse our emotions so much that our prayers seem ineffective. And by praying/singing with you we can express our hearts to God, and hopefully be heard.”
“I’m just grateful to be a vessel that carries these words,” Nichole said in an interview with Billboard. “I felt like my story is pretty messy and broken, but I knew God’s handprints are all over my life.”
