BACHELOR alum Madi Prewett Troutt knows her purpose is to share truth.
“I feel called to communicate truth and to challenge others with the word of God — to speak the truth,” Troutt told Candace Cameron Bure on Bure’s podcast.
She accomplishes that through writing, podcasting, traveling, discipling girls and serving at her local church. Now, she’s a mom to a young daughter, Hosanna, and wants to focus a little more on her.
“I’ve really been praying and processing through with my husband of just of what would it look like for me to maybe cut back on some of these areas and really use these gifts, channeling my purpose in a different way in this season of teaching and discipling Hosanna and pouring into her,” she explained. “I would say it has changed seasonally for me this far in my life. But I just believe that purpose is really your gifting and your passion coming together to glorify God.”

Ahead of the new year, Troutt shared six truths she believes Christ-followers should carry into 2026.
A couple of them are, “Business is not fruitfulness. (A full schedule doesn’t mean a full life. Anything that steal prayer, peace and presence is too expensive…)” and “Let the Word disciple you — not the world.”
Last year, she emphasized the importance of starting the day with Biblical truth.
“Because the rest of the world will be lying to you,” Troutt said. “Something I’ve been doing lately that has quite literally changed my life is memorizing chunks of scripture…We have to ‘take captive every thought’ and make it obedient to truth.”
Recently on Bure’s podcast, the pair talked about the importance of choosing good friends.
“I do believe that your company will either lead you closer to Jesus or further away,” Troutt said. “Your company that you keep will either push you to sin or push you to God.”
Bure recalled a friend who pushed her to walk closer with God, which she is grateful for.
“I felt so convicted and embarrassed, but she was a good enough friend to go, ‘How’s your walk with God?’” Bure said.
“And I just love that about her friendship and that kind of community that she wasn’t afraid to say, ‘Hey, friend, I’m checking on you because I know that I don’t see fruit in your life.’” She added, “And as a sister in Christ, it is for me to ask you about that and to check up and and see where you’re at and motivate you into a better place and a right place with God.”
Bure’s next podcast comes out Tuesday, March 24.
