Madison Prewett Troutt rang in the New Year by sharing six truths she’s learned throughout 2025.
“These are just a some of the things I learned in 2025 that I am excited to take into 2026 and I hope you’ll join me!” the former BACHELOR star began a Dec. 30 Instagram post.
Number one? “You can’t heal what you keep hidden, and you can’t grow where you’re never known.”
Troutt offered several tips so people can put this into practice: “Confess to God to receive forgiveness. Confess to others to experience freedom. God designed healing to happen in community, not isolation. Serve at your local church, where you’re known and held accountable.”
Matthew 18:20 encourages believers living in community. It reads, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Next, Troutt encouraged, “Release what was never yours to carry.” Ways we can implement this is to “Cast your cares at His feet. You don’t have to keep carrying the weight of everything working out. The pressure to fix it, manage it, and make it all workout will drain you. Worship when you are tempted to worry.”
She’s echoing a biblical truth found in 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Third, Troutt reminded her fans that “Following Jesus will cost you approval.” She noted, “You must not fear man, but the one who created man and determines man’s destiny. Choose obedience over being liked.”
She also learned that, though the world encourages it, being constantly busy harms many areas of life, especially our walk with God.
“A full schedule doesn’t mean a full life,” she explained. “Anything that steals your prayer, peace, and presence is too expensive. Speed kills sensitivity to God and what matters most.”
Troutt also reflected on the importance of letting the Word of God shape us.
“Let the Word disciple you-not the world,” she said. “Be formed by Scripture, not social media.
“The Bible will correct, rebuke, guide and encourage you. The more you study it and memorize it, the more you will delight in it. It will begin to renew your mind and restore your soul,” she explained.
Finally, Troutt emphasized that “the grace of God is not an excuse to sin but teaches us to say ‘no’ to sin.”
2025 was a big year for Troutt. She and husband Grant welcomed their first daughter, Hosanna Rose, in January.
“I had no idea how much joy this little light would bring me,” she said of her daughter soon after her birth. “She is such an every day reminder of God’s grace and goodness. We love you Hosie Rosie🩷”
She also released her book Dare to Be True.
In it, Troutt explores “what it means to stay true to yourself, your faith, and your values. It’s not just about identifying problems; it’s about empowering you to change how you live each day. Learn to live the abundant life God has for you as you break free from what is breaking you.”
As we enter the New Year, let’s hold these and other biblical truths in our hearts.
