Marvel Brings Back This Villain from First IRON MAN
By Movieguide® Contributor
Marvel is bringing back a villain from one of its first movies.
Faran Tahir will reprise his role of Raza, the leader of the 10 Rings terrorist organization in the original IRON MAN who tried to kill Tony Stark. He hasn’t appeared in the franchise since the 2008 movie, IGN said.
The role will be featured in the new series, VISION QUEST, a Disney spinoff of WANDAVISION.
There are not many details about the series, but it will center around Vision (Paul Bettany) and his search to regain his memory and humanity. The series will pick up after Vision was killed by Thanos in the 2018 film AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and his revival in WANDAVISION in 2021, according to Deadline.
Actress Juggun Kazim celebrated Faran’s return to the franchise, saying the Pakistani actor “has shattered glass ceilings and made an unforgettable mark in Hollywood.”
“From his iconic roles in blockbuster films like IRON MAN and STAR TREK to his stellar performances in theatre and on television, Faran has shown the world what true talent, resilience, and hard work can achieve,” she wrote.
“Faran has brought representation to the global stage, proving that our stories and our voices belong in the world’s biggest arenas. He has paved the way for countless aspiring artists, showing that with dedication and passion, anything is possible,” Kazim concluded.
Tahir commented on her post and said, “I am floored by your kind words. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your support,…your love….your friendship. I am truly blessed to have friends like you in my life.”
