A new hockey series is in the works. In a partnership between the National Hockey League and Amazon, COAST TO COAST is a new show that will focus on the game’s greatest highlights.

The series will be available Monday nights on Amazon Prime and will air Thursday nights in Canada.

“NHL COAST TO COAST will provide fans with a comprehensive look at the latest key moments in games, as-they-happen highlights, interviews and analysis from the world of hockey, featuring top players, coaches and commentators,” Magda Grace, head of Prime Video, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, said.

Steve Meyer, NHL Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer, added, “NHL COAST TO COAST is yet another example of Amazon’s extraordinary investment in hockey programming and commitment to delivering an enhanced viewing experience for hockey fans.”

The Hollywood Reporter shared, “The deal for NHL COAST TO COAST north of the border promises ripple effects on Canadian TV similar to Amazon’s $1 billion per year deal to offer THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL stateside similarly changing TV viewing habits as pro sports increasingly embraces streaming audiences.”

COAST TO COAST is not the first NHL and Amazon collab.

NHL reported, “Earlier this month, Prime Video and NHL Productions announced an untitled docuseries with Box To Box Films – the producers of Drive to Survive – that will give unprecedented access to some of the NHL’s most compelling players, all at different stages of their careers, as they embark throughout the season on the ultimate pursuit of glory – winning the coveted Stanley Cup. The series will feature in-depth interviews with key players, their rivals and those in their closest inner circles – teammates, coaches and family – revealing what life on and off the ice really is like for the League’s top players.”
