PIONEER WOMAN Ree Drummond shared a sweet photo from her childhood that captures a vulnerable moment of the beginning of her faith.
The photo, taken in 1975, shows the moment she got baptized alongside her siblings, Doug, Mike and Betsy.
“February 22, 1975. (I’m not saying how many) years ago today!” she wrote in the caption. “My siblings and I all got baptized together at our Episcopal church that morning. My mom says there was a huge snowstorm that day; of course, that didn’t keep her from throwing us in her Oldsmobile and driving to church. ⛪️😂”
She added, “Baby Betsy almost didn’t make it into the photo! Fr. Evans and Fr. Fellows, I’ll always remember them. Also, what was I looking at? I was easily distracted, even then.”

People in the comment section showed the nostalgic photo some love.
“So sweet! I love these old photos- we never knew how they’d turn out! Happy Baptism Day!” one person said. Another fan wrote, “Awww I love this! What a precious memory.”
Someone else chimed in, “What a sweet picture! How special that you were all baptized together!😍”
Drummond has built a major lifestyle brand, complete with a Food Network show, household products and cookbooks. But she also uses her platform to share her faith.
“We’re very mindful of storing up our treasures in heaven rather than on earth,” she previously said. “We don’t want to bury them in the backyard and sit on them. It’s exciting to use whatever success we’ve achieved to do things that aren’t just about us.”
She’s referencing Matthew 6:19-21 which says, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Drummond remains a beloved figure for fans of home cooking and rural life. She frequently shares sweet, quiet moments with family.
“What a gift it is to be a grandmother! I had heard all the clichés and either dismissed or underestimated the truth at the heart of them,” she said in a late December blog post of her granddaughter Sofia. “It is the sweetest, purest love that causes the heart to swell and soar and leap at the simplest sound or expression…It’s magic and I’m so grateful to be able to experience this gift.”
Drummond’s ability to connect with audiences through honest storytelling, comforting food and creativity has made her someone that those who value home and family look up to.
