S.W.A.T. Star Reveals How Daughter Changed His Life: ‘Miracle’

S.W.A.T. actor Shemar Moore credits his baby girl for “saving his life.”
“That’s my little baby girl. That’s my miracle. That’s little Frankie. That girl truly has given me purpose. She saved my life,” he said on THE JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW, explaining how his daughter, Frankie, changed his life in the best way.
Moore believes that God sent him his daughter, especially since he’s been missing his mom, who died in 2020.
“Y’all know that mama’s up in heaven, and her dream was to see this happen. She wanted to be a grandma, and mama made sure I wasn’t alone. I can’t prove it, but I think between God and my mama, they made sure that I wasn’t alone,” he explained.
He continued, “That girl truly has given me purpose. She saved she saved my life.”

Before Frankie came along, Moore’s fame and success felt meaningless. He now finds his true purpose in his family: “I was in a place of like, ‘So what…what does it all mean? Why am I doing this?’ And then little Frankie came along, and that’s what it’s all about right there.”
Frankie celebrated her second birthday on Jan. 24, and Moore took to Instagram to celebrate, sharing clips of his daughter’s first two years of life.
“Frankie’s 2 TODAY!!! Our little sassy beautiful, smart, HAPPY MIRACLE!!!! THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! It’s Frankie’s world!!! Thank You Jesiree,” he wrote. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL.”

Moore, now 54, currently stars in Season 8 of S.W.A.T. and might have more seasons ahead after surprisingly being picked up for a seventh and eighth after getting canceled in 2023.
“It’s been called the final season the last three or four seasons, hasn’t it?” S.W.A.T. executive producer Shawn Ryan quipped.
“The show I think is beloved in the executive ranks at CBS, the show is beloved by our audience. The show creatively, I’m happy and somewhat embarrassed to say, hasn’t dropped a step since I handed over the showrunning reins to Andy Dettman,” he added. “But we also understand that a corporate change is happening in that world. I know David Ellison, I wrote a movie for him back in the day.”
