Ansley Gordon and Shae Robins discussed their movie A CHRISTMAS PRAYER and explained what made the project so special from the start.
“I just think it was such a unique story and that my character was so inspired by this list of blessings that this little girl wrote,” Robins told Movieguide®. “And instead of, like, asking for things like toys and clothing for Christmas, she was asking for prayers and blessings for other people, which you don’t hear of children doing that very often. And so from that moment, I think is when I knew this was special.”
Gordon, who wrote the script, explained that she was inspired to pen the story because she wanted to give audiences an uplifting story to combat the trials of everyday life.

“Well, I think the world is really heavy. And I think anytime you can remind people to lead with kindness, that’s what I want to do,” Gordon told Movieguide®.
Gordon certainly achieved her goal as A CHRISTMAS PRAYER was nominated for and received the Epiphany Prize® for Inspiring Television at this year’s Movieguide® Award gala.

A CHRISTMAS PRAYER follows Robins’ character, Natalie, who gets the opportunity to bring miracles to life when she discovers a girl’s Christmas prayer list. In doing so, she forms a special relationship with the girl’s father, Wes. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:
