More Detail:
Bella is a clothing shop owner in a quaint little American town. Stefan is a European Royal Duke of Tangford with a family estate on the outskirts of town. Stefan wanders into Bella’s shop looking for help after he discovers he’s lost his luggage. Bella personally delivers her fashion choices to Stefan’s strict and conservative specifications. He meets her with dismissive irritation. However, when he opens his package, he appreciates her childlike enthusiasm in her choice of Christmas reindeer pajamas.
Stefan returns to Bella’s store the next day to apologize for his rude behavior. He wants to hire her as his personal stylist for the week. As he becomes more attracted to her lighthearted ways, he asks her to join him as his date for all of his holiday engagements. Stefan assures her it’s strictly professional, and he will pay her for her time. Bella who is admittedly is low on social outing options as she is focused entirely on her business, reluctantly accepts the offer.
The first high-society holiday event is in full swing, and Bella is miserably awkward and immature. A party attendee tells Bella that Stefan is the Duke of Tangford. Shocked and
embarrassed, Bella tries to leave. The Duke stops her and apologizes for withholding royal information. He reveals that he has had a bad public break-up and needs to improve his image. Thankfully, the Duke finds her strange behavior refreshing. The two recommit to the goal to improve the Duke’s recent poor press.
Bella cannot think of anything other than her Duke. She is passionate about helping Stefan find his “colorful” side by continuously insisting that he comes out of his fashion box and don something other than drab black or grey clothes.
In her absence, however, Bella’s business falters. The bank rejects her loan application. Even still, she redoubles her efforts to help Stefan rediscover the joy of the Christmas holiday season. With Stefan’s departure back to Europe and Bella’s failing business, what will happen at the end of the week?
