What You Need To Know:
GET HIM TO THE GREEK is horrible. It is not funny. It is not well-told. Even its brief moral messages of forgiveness and a man’s struggle to get sober are lost amid the outright depravity of the script and the movie’s creative team. The movie is blatantly pagan and hedonistic full of abhorrent and abundant depravity, including unfunny, crude slapstick violence. Truly intelligent and wise moviegoers will hate this movie.

(PaPaPa, B, C, Ro, Ho, Fe, FR, LLL, VV, SSS, NN, AAA, DDD, MM); Very strong mixed pagan worldview with one moral, redemptive reference to forgiveness and rock star eventually gets sober from his life of drugs and alcohol but, other than that, the movie is filled with every form of degradation from a Romanticized view of the rock star lifestyle, plus some homosexual jokes, a feminist character, and elements of false Eastern religions; 163 obscenities, eight profanities, two uses of the “n” word, man throws up in multiple scenes, urination; strong violence, most designed to be comical, includes brief gunfire and war images in African country for a music video, falling, punching, hitting, man puts a heroin balloon up his anus and another man later pulls it out of him forcefully, people hit over the head, man gets hit by car but survives, party mayhem, pyromaniac lights a fire at a hotel suite party, man jumps off a roof and into a pool but his arm hits the side and a bone sticks out of his arm, and prostitute forces a dildo inside man’s anus; very strong sexual content includes depicted fornication, depicted oral sex in several scenes, depicted threesome although the couple decides not to finish the threesome, unmarried couple lives together, adultery, strippers dance at a bar, a lot of sexual dialogue, songs and music videos about sex, woman sings about anal sex, very suggestive dancing, brief sadomasochistic flogging, man wags his tongue to seduce women, and man says he is raped by prostitute; upper female nudity in several scenes, upper male nudity, men and women in underwear, rear male nudity, obscured pixilated genital nudity, and a fully nude silhouette; excessive alcohol depicted, drunkenness depicted in most of the movie and illegal absinthe is consumed; heavy drug usage depicted, rockstar is a heroin addict, pot smoking in several scenes, prescription pills taken, and Ecstasy taken; and, lying, stealing, blackmail, immorality, abortion mentioned, and illegitimate child is deceived by his mother.

GET HIM TO THE GREEK is the story of a young music executive who must escort an aging, strung out, rock and roll star from London to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles for his big, comeback concert. This blatantly pagan movie glorifies and romanticizes the hedonistic lifestyle of “drugs, sex and rock-n-roll.”
There is not much of a plot to this movie. A young, up-and-coming executive Aaron Green (Jonah Hill), who works for a failing album company, conceives of an idea to have a 10-year reunion concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles for his favorite rock star, Aldous Snow (edgy British comic Russell Brand), who is now a washed-up has-been who needs a major career breakthrough.
The record company owner (the foul-mouthed Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs) puts together the venue and sets up the promotional tour. Tickets sell out in minutes. Now, the only thing left to do is get the rock star to the Greek. Aaron must travel to London and get Aldous to the concert on time.
Sounds like an easy task, right? Wrong!
Along the way, Aaron’s itinerary – and his morality – is continually changed by Aldous’s plans to party and drink his way to the Greek. The two unlikely companions stop at party after party on a 48-hour whirlwind tour of debauchery and hedonism. Aaron easily falls into Aldous’ lifestyle of partying, excessive drinking, excessive sexual promiscuity, and excessive illegal drug use while trying to reach his primary objective: getting Aldous to the Greek Theatre in time for his comeback concert.

It contains excessive nudity, sexuality, aberrant sexual behavior, sexual dialogue, an obscene amount of foul language, violence, vile amounts of drunkenness and drug use. This movie has nothing redeemable in it whatsoever. Any person with any self-respect or any moral decency will avoid this movie at all costs.
The filmmakers, Judd Apatow and Jason Segel, need prayer. They need the forgiveness of Jesus Christ. They are willingly leading the youth who flock to sophomoric comedies like this one down the primrose path of destruction. Please pray for the unwitting people who see this vile movie – that they would come to know Jesus Christ and the truth that will set them free from this horrific type of entertainment!
