HOW HIGH

What You Need To Know:

HOW HIGH is a black urban comedy about two potheads who smoke some marijuana leaves fertilized by the ashes of their dead friend. This causes the ghost of their dead friend to appear. The ghost helps them pass some college entrance exams with flying colors. Armed with the occult power of the marijuana, they decide to take Harvard University’s offer of a scholarship when the diversity-conscious Dean of Admissions tells them that the women on campus are beautiful. On campus, they clash with the black, discipline-minded Dean of Freshmen and a young security guard anxious to root out any campus drug use.

Filled with constant foul language and marijuana use, HOW HIGH is one of the worst movies of the year. It’s like putting Amos and Andy on pot. Of course, HOW HIGH also includes strong, if not graphic, sexual immorality. Finally, it contains an occult storyline that plays an important role in the movie. In the Bible, God forbids all occult activity. He also wants us to serve Him and our fellow man with a clear mind, which no one can do if they are high on alcohol or drugs, including marijuana

Content:

(PaPaPa, OOO, APAP, RHRH, AB, PCPC, LLL, VVV, SSS, NN, AA, DDD, MMM) Strong pagan worldview with strong occult storyline that glorifies marijuana use & stupidity & that includes some anti-American revisionist history done mostly for laughs rather than for any really serious agenda, plus some brief anti-Christian humor about sexual abstinence & brief humor about political correctness, including an odious comparison to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas; about 273 obscenities, about 22 mostly strong profanities, toilet humor, & obscene gestures; some slapstick comedy, including pot-smoking man sets himself on fire, falls several stories & is hit by a bus & a truck, plus gruesome comedy scene where protagonists cut up corpse of President John Quincy Adams to turn him into marijuana fertilizer for occult reasons; depicted fornication, implied fornication, prostitution, & many other immoral sexual references; brief upper female nudity; alcohol use & drunkenness; smoking, marijuana use, marijuana growing, & marijuana selling lauded; and, strong miscellaneous immorality such as lying, rebellion against authority figures, mockery of authority figures, stupidity extolled except in knowing how to grow powerful marijuana combinations & to mix drugs to get high or to achieve some other, sometimes immoral & hedonistic, ends.

More Detail:

HOW HIGH is a black urban comedy about two potheads who smoke some marijuana leaves fertilized by the ashes of their dead friend. This causes the ghost of their dead friend to appear. He helps them pass some college entrance exams with flying colors. Armed with the occult power of the marijuana, they decide to take Harvard University’s offer of a scholarship when the diversity-conscious Dean of Admissions tells them that the women on campus are beautiful (women and alums of Yale, Dartmouth and Princeton might disagree with this chauvinist assessment). On campus, they clash with the black, discipline-minded Dean of Freshmen and a young security guard anxious to root out any campus drug use.

Filled with constant foul language and marijuana use, HOW HIGH is one of the worst movies of the year. Apparently, the actors in the story were not the only people who were high on pot while making this cinematic travesty. Of course, HOW HIGH also includes strong, if not graphic, sexual immorality. It also contains an occult storyline that plays an important role in the movie. In the Bible, God forbids all occult activity. He also wants us to serve Him and our fellow man with a clear mind, which no one can do if they are high on alcohol or drugs, including marijuana.

Instead of railing against minor racial faux pas and against conservatives who want to stop racial quotas, civil rights leaders should take the black filmmakers and actors behind this movie to task for making African Americans look like morons and fools. HOW HIGH is like putting Amos and Andy on pot. At least Amos and Andy included some moral lessons in their high jinks.
