Mike explains he can’t hang out with Eleven, the girl with telekinetic powers, because he will be with his pals instead. Dustin, angry at his friends, visits Steve at the mall’s ice cream parlor. He asks for help translating the Russian message he intercepted. Steve and Steve’s co-worker help Dustin decipher the first sentence and wonder why the message originated from their hometown. Meanwhile, Joyce, Will’s mother, asks a science teacher why her magnets aren’t working. Max and Eleven go to the mall to blow off steam.
