NCIS: HAWAII announced Vanessa Lachey as the newest spinoff series lead and additional cast members Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon.

Lachey plays Jane Tennant, the first woman SAC of NCIS: HAWAII. Lachey previously starred in Fox’s CALL ME KAT and BH90210. She also appeared on HAWAII FIVE-0 on CBS.

Co-star Yasmine Al-Bustami plays the role of the team’s junior member, Lucy.

Al-Bustami plays the role of Ramah in the faith-based series based on the life of Jesus, THE CHOSEN, and starred in the CBS reboot of SWAT.

The announcement comes after CBS renewed NCIS and its spinoff NCIS: LOS ANGELES. However, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS will not continue after the end of its current season.

Movieguide® previously reported:

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, the newest spinoff of the NCIS franchise, will end after its 155th episode.

“Sad to end our love affair with this phenomenal city but so grateful for all the friends we made along the way,” executive producer and star of the show Scott Bakula said. “I will miss the music. Big thank you to CBS for seven years.”

“It has been our sincere pleasure and honor to work on this show and with this incredible cast and crew for over 150 episodes,” executive producers/showrunners Jan Nash and Christopher Silber added. “As disappointed as we are to see NOLA end, we couldn’t be prouder of the work we’ve done and are grateful to the spectacular and resilient Crescent City that embraced us for seven wonderful years.”

However, Silber and Nash also announced that with the end of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, they are working on a new spinoff, NCIS: HAWAII. The duo will co-write/executive produce the project alongside SEAL TEAM writer-producer Matt Bosack.

The NCIS franchise is one of the most-watched series on television, with nearly 10 million viewers tuning in each episode.
