Catherine Guidici Lowe on Motherhood: ‘I Love All The Things About It’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Catherine Guidici Lowe and her husband, BACHELOR star Sean Lowe, aren’t ruling out adding another member to their family.

“I love having children, I love being pregnant, I love all the things about it,” Catherine told People. “But at a certain point, it feels a little selfish to continue to add children and not pour back into them. So, right now, we’re really focusing on our three.

“We’re still kind of looking into adoption, but I think biologically, we’re done, sad to say,” she shared.

“It actually really hurts to say that, because I love being pregnant and the joy that that closeness brings, but we’re going to focus on our babies now,” Catherine continued. “We had them so back-to-back that now, the independence that they’ve given us and the time that we could breathe, has been really satisfying. [But] if we adopted, I would love to adopt a newborn, just because I love babies.”

The Lowes are focused on raising the children they do have: Samuel, 5, Isaiah, 3, and Mia, 2.

Catherine described every aspect of motherhood as “rewarding because it’s a huge responsibility,” but says that now that the kids are a little older, “I don’t feel as frantic.”

“My personality is frantic, but now it’s not like survival,” she explained. “Everyone’s going to be okay. I’m not worried about a baby falling off a couch anymore or getting into stuff.”

Movieguide® has previously reported on Catherine and Sean’s love story:

Catherine Guidici Lowe, who stole former bachelor Sean Lowe’s heart on season 17 of the popular dating show, credited the show for helping her find Christ. Guidici Lowe opened up about the experience in an Instagram post ahead of THE BACHELOR’s special spinoff.

The series kicked Monday night with outspoken Christian Sean Lowe’s season. Before it aired, his wife, Catherine, looked back on her journey on the show and what it brought her.

One of the things she highlighted in an Instagram post was the fact that she found Christ.

“I ended up getting to represent a mixed race community, I found Christ (I LOVE my testimony!) and marrying the most amazing man I’ve ever known. I’d say doing this show was one of the best things that ever happened to me.”

Sean’s heart for the Lord shined through on his season and might have even helped guide his wife to wanting to give her life to God.

After getting engaged on the show, Catherine made the decision to get baptized in the same church as Sean. Sean’s father, Jay, even baptized her.

According to the Christian Post, Jay said, “I remember the night she surrendered her life to the Lord. She called me and was giggling and excited. She was overjoyed. Becoming a Christian was a personal decision she made herself and had nothing to do with Sean or impressing the family.”
