Why Singer Jessica Simpson Left Hollywood For the Summer

Entertainment star and singer Jessica Simpson revealed how relocating from Hollywood to Nashville for the summer has made her happier.
“Being in Nashville, even my kids are like, ‘You laugh the whole time. You’re so happy,’” Simpson told E! News.
“It’s because I’m not on guard,” she added. “I’m with a lot of like-minded people. It’s not about the celebrities…It’s really about the music and the heart…the conversation.”
Simpson added that becoming a renter has become a “hilarious experience” for her and her family.
“I used thumb tacks to hang these $40 curtains up so I wouldn’t wake up with the sun,” she told E! News. “I put together a TV with a butter knife. I was looking for a screwdriver, but I went to the wrong place. I went to Walgreens; I got lip gloss instead.”
While in Nashville, Simpson has focused on her music, a comeback she’s had planned “for the last 12 years,” she revealed.
“I’m not nervous at all, but if you were to ask me two years ago when I was talking about coming back to music, I was frightened,” she said. “But now, I know exactly what I want. I’m building my own platform. I’m doing it for the first time…the way I would…without a label telling me I need to do this song or use this producer. It’s all me.”
Simpson has experienced public successes and challenges and often opens up about her struggles with weight, relationships and self-esteem. Her honesty about these issues has resonated with many fans.
FOX News reported, “The ‘Irresistible’ singer, who has spoken about gaining and losing 100 pounds on three separate occasions, said her children are perplexed by the public’s interest in her weight.”
Simpson said, “My kids see me being still scrutinized, and it’s very confusing to them. Because they’re like, ‘I don’t even understand this…Why don’t they just say you look pretty, mommy? You look pretty!'”
“And I’m like, ‘Honey, like, I really don’t’ – I wish I could explain it, I wish I could say for me, that it’s gotten better, but it still remains the same, and I don’t know why,” she added.
In a recent photo on Instagram, Simpson shared herself driving a U-Haul. Simpson wrote, “Everyone says I always overpack… #roadtrippin.”

“When I hear my kids cackle, it’s the most healing sound,” Simpson told Shape. “It’s contagious — my whole family starts giggling together, and it’s like some form of happy laughing therapy.”
Simpson said that her three children — 22-month old daughter Birdie Mae, daughter Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 8½, and son 7-year-old son Ace Knute — help her mental health.
Simpson, who recently authored a book titled Open Book, maintains that “family is everything” and that she wants to “teach them morals and values and to keep them safe but not afraid.”
