Sadie Robertson Huff: ‘Believe [God’s] Fighting For You’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Sadie Robertson Huff is encouraging people to choose faith over fear.

“The minute you stop praying for your circumstances to change and you start praying for your heart to change, that’s when everything’s going to start happening for you,” Huff said of the moments when she has felt fear. “Because when you pray for your circumstances to change, you get discouraged when nothing’s changing, but when you stop, and you pray for your heart to change…that’s when you have peace that surpasses all understanding.”

She continued, “You’ve got to believe He’s fighting for you…and in your weakness, He will be your strength.”

Huff then shared a story about a conversation she had with a man who wanted to turn away from God because he couldn’t feel His presence in his life.

The DUCK DYNASTY star told him, “Do you know that the definition of fear is ‘taking belief that something is a threat towards you?’ So, you’re taking belief in something you can’t see everyday. But what you’re doing right now is choosing to…believe in something you can’t see.”

“You’re choosing fear, and in return, you’re getting insecure and you’re having to struggle with something that was actually always intended to be your strength,” Huff went on. “But if you would just choose faith, your whole story changes. If you just choose to believe in God, the same thing that you cannot see, then you’re all of a sudden confident!”

She shared another message about conquering fear in a recent Instagram post.

“Friend who is facing fear, your words have POWER,” Huff wrote. “The Bible says that the word of God is active and alive. There is joy and confidence on the other side of your fears. As my mom always says, ‘you can have a million reasons not to do something, but fear can’t be one of them.’ Fear doesn’t get to win. Anxiety doesn’t get to tell me what I can and can’t do. So friend, repeat after me, ‘i don’t have to fear because God is with me. I am created for life and life to the full. I need a friend to come a little closer. I can do it.’”

Huff is counseling people on how to center God in their lives in her latest book, “How to Put Love First.”

“This is for the single, dating, engaged or married person!” she wrote in an Instagram post about the book. “This is for everyone, because everyone is called to put love first! It was so fun (and challenging) to write this book together! We are straight up about all the things in this book and truly challenging us to look more like love himself – Jesus!”

Sadie Robertson Huff and her husband Christian recently talked about their new book, “How to Put Love First,” sharing how putting God first allows us to love others well.

“When God is first in our life, when love is put first, then all of our relationships are so blessed,” Sadie told TBN. “By that, I mean the overflow of relationship with the Lord blesses every relationship in your life, whether that’s with your spouse, with your parents, with your family, with your friends.”
