Kid Rock shared an unforgettable moment of faith and hope while on stage at the Hondo Rodeo Fest.

Last weekend, the musician honored the late Charlie Kirk by adding a new verse centered on faith and forgiveness to Cody Johnson’s hit track, “‘Til You Can’t.”

“There’s a book that is sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off/There’s a man that died for all our sins/Hanging from the cross/You can give your life to Jesus/And He’ll give you a second chance/’Til you can’t, ’til you can’t,” the additional lyrics read, per Fox News Digital.

“Now, a few weeks ago, I woke up alone early on a Sunday morning and had this song stuck in my head,” Kid Rock said to the crowd. “And in that moment, someone or something spoke to me and told me there was still a verse missing from this song and to get up and write it down. So I did.”

As he spoke to the crowd, a large image of Kirk filled the screens behind him. The audience roared with cheers.

“And now I know exactly who was speaking to me that morning,” Kid Rock said with emotion in his voice.

Kirk, who founded Turning Point USA, was assassinated on Sept. 10 at Utah Valley University during a campus tour stop. Kid Rock shared Kirk’s widow, Erika’s, message of forgiveness during her husband’s memorial service on X.

“‘I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did.’ – Erika Kirk. I have never witnessed anything more powerful or moving,” Kid Rock wrote.

Since his death, Erika has shared several memories of her late husband, continuing Kirk’s passion for faith and family.

“Charlie wrote me a love note every Saturday while he honored the Sabbath. He never missed one,” she wrote on Instagram in October. “I share this with you not to prove a point, not to make anyone feel like they need to do the same for their spouse, but to encourage you. To show that when your husband loves you as Christ loved the church you have a deeper respect for him, a deeper love. It’s hard to explain, but those of you who have an Ephesians 5 marriage you understand my sentiment.”

“So I share this in hopes that today, husbands are encouraged to be even better husbands and wives are encouraged to be even better wives. I’d give anything to have a Saturday breakfast with my husband asking how we can better serve one another for the week ahead…so if you’re reading this, and you have that blessing, please take advantage of it for me,” she encouraged.

Kirk honored God and pointed all he encountered towards Christ. It’s encouraging to see his friends like Kid Rock continue this mission.
