Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze gets ready to tackle a whole new part of the entertainment industry!

“Hi, I’m Nate Bargatze. Tonight, I’m on the road, but soon, I’ll be in your living rooms with my new game show,” he said in a recent promotional social media video. “GREATEST AVERAGE AMERICAN premieres February 25th. Watch it on ABC, stream it on Hulu. I can’t wait!”

A press release from ABC shared a description of the show, calling it “a hilarious new game show that celebrates the power of being perfectly average.”

“Each round is packed with laugh-out-loud challenges and trivia as contestants try to guess how everyday Americans think and live,” the description continued. “In the end, one lucky player will be crowned the Greatest Average American and get the chance to win the ultimate grand prize: the average American salary of $67,920.”

This isn’t the only exciting project Bargatze has coming up. The comedian is set to make his movie debut in THE BREADWINNER, where he stars opposite Mandy Moore, Colin Jost, Kumail Nanjiani, Will Forte, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy and Kate Berlant.

“The idea of his first film being so personal and authentic to him and his comedy felt like the perfect foray, and he’d really identified a space,” TriStar Pictures president Nicole Brown told The Hollywood Reporter. “He was like, ‘I want to be able to watch a film with my whole family. We can go watch animation now, but there’s nothing with real people in it.’”

Bargatze is also moving ahead with plans for his “Nateland” amusement park, which he plans to create in the Nashville area.

“Nate and Nateland are committed to good, clean, family-friendly entertainment,” Felix Verdigets, CEO of Nateland Entertainment, said in a statement. “We live in middle Tennessee and recognize the need for a major attraction for people of all ages in the Nashville area. We’re excited to see what our partnership with [design firm] Storyland Studios will bring.”

Mel McGowan, founder and chief creative officer of Storyland Studios, added, “This project has been a long time coming, and we’re thrilled to officially announce that we have embarked on this journey with Nate, Felix, and the entire Nateland team. Our goal is to create a truly premium themed entertainment experience right in Music City that reflects the unique humor and heart of Nateland, while also delivering a world-class destination for families.”

From game shows and movies to a new theme park, it looks like Bargatze’s career is taking off to new heights!
