This Actress Hilariously Captures One of the Most Difficult Parts of Faith

Tamera Mowry-Housley shared one of the most relatable parts of faith in a hilarious video that speaks to the difficulty of learning how to trust the Lord.

“The reality of faith. I’ve definitely made these faces before, but the Lord’s always got me,” Mowry-Housley wrote in the description of a video where she asked the Lord to teach her how to trust him, before sharing snapshots from famous memes that capture how doing this actually feels.

Mowry-Housley has long used her platform to uplift her fans and speak to the reality of the Christian walk. She has shared a similarly hilarious videos in the past that touch on parts of faith that not everybody talks about.

The actress has been a Christian her entire life, and even though she grew up in Hollywood, she remained rooted in the Lord. In fact, being a part of Hollywood has helped grow her faith as it has shown her just how much things are out of our control and that we can only truly find peace if we trust the Lord with our future.

“I used to struggle with the spirit of perfection. I thought that if I was perfect, all the problems would go away. All my insecurities would go away. And later I found out it was actually the more you think like that, the more you’re imprisoned, because the Lord loves us without perfection…” she told the “Jesus Calling” podcast. “I had to learn that, the pressure of staying on top, being a successful show, then realizing you’re canceled, your show’s canceled, your dreams are just kind of [gone], and now you have to pick up and move on.”

Meanwhile, as Mowry-Housley has gotten older, she has decided to limit the roles that she accepts so that she only supports projects that align with her beliefs and can be available for her children.

“They have taught me to be present and enjoy the most simple things in life,” Mowry-Housley said of her two children. “It gives me so much joy, especially as a busy mom, just giving them a bath, reading them a book, brushing our teeth together. They taught me how to have fun in the most simple moments.”

It is amazing how Mowry-Housley remains such a strong Christian after being a recognizable face in Hollywood throughout her younger years and now uses her platform to speak to the Christian life and encourage her fans in their walk with the Lord.
