Adoption Is had a mission this year: to show women in crisis pregnancies that abortion isn’t their only option — and they accomplished it by snagging a Super Bowl ad slot.

The organization’s one-minute ad depicts a tearful and scared woman holding a pregnancy test in her bathroom. It’s obvious she feels conflicted as images of protesters holding signs like “My body, my choice” flash across the screen.

“I know you never expected this,” a voice says. “The voices and the anger are so loud. I know you envisioned things differently.”

“They’re telling you, you’ve only got two choices, but the truth is, there are three,” the voiceover continues. “Are these options difficult? Of course they are. But you deserve to know adoption is an option.”

This is an impactful video that millions of viewers saw during the game.

Texas Right to Life says two million families are currently waiting to adopt newborns. Adoption isn’t giving up — it’s a loving act of sacrifice that a birth mother makes to allow her child to grow up in a comfortable and safe environment that she feels she can’t provide.

Adoption Is said, “‍Adoption is misunderstood. Stigma, fear of judgment, and lack of information hold back women who might otherwise choose this path. At the same time, thousands of families are ready and waiting to adopt, and birth mothers deserve dignity, respect, and support before, during, and after placement.”

“‍‍‍We are building a movement where adoption is seen not as an act of loss, but as an act of love, where women in crisis feel surrounded by care. Where faith communities, medical providers, agencies, and centers work together to ensure every woman knows she truly has options. Adoption is a decision rooted in courage, and a gift that brings new life to families and futures,” the organization explained.

Some of their initiatives include “I Am That Kid” and The Opt Institute. I Am That Kid shares stories of people who were adopted and how it impacted them. The Opt Institute is a research foundation that provides data about adoption.

The organization puts to rest any misconceptions about adoption. In response to the question, “Is adoption giving up my child?” it’s website simply says, “NO. It is a courageous decision to make a plan for your child’s future.”

Babies are alive from conception. Often, when a pregnant woman feels she can’t provide for a child, adoption is the best option for her and her baby. It’s great that this message is reaching millions of people who need to hear it.
