Erin and Ben Napier are headed back to school for their latest episode of HOME TOWN!
“This is where we met,” Erin shared in a clip from the upcoming episode, which follows the couple as they work on a special project for Jones College’s women’s basketball team.
Ben added, “All four of our parents have degrees from Jones College, our brothers. Y’all, I loved going to school here.”
“It always feels good to come back here,” Erin agreed.

The Napiers met at Jones College in 2004, and Erin often shares memories of her college days on Instagram. In a 2022 post, she gave fans a look at her dorm room, writing, “My IG feed keeps showing me the young folks’ fancy dorm rooms, so I present for your consideration: my sophomore dorm room from the year of our Lord 2004.”
“I bought that paper lantern in Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco the summer before freshman year, bedding from Target, rug from Dirt Cheap,” she continued. “I would lay in that twin bed and talk on the phone to Ben Napier till 4:00 am after he dropped me off for the night. Have fun, you college kids!”
Their history with the school didn’t stop once they graduated; in 2024, Jones College announced the establishment of the Napier School of Design and Building Arts.
“This school aims to establish a new foundation for education in construction, design, and building trades, providing Mississippians with the essential skills to construct and reconstruct small towns across America,” the school’s website reads. “Additionally, Jones College intends to design this new school as a replicable model, creating opportunities for small town revitalization nationwide.”
The announcement of the Napier School was featured in an episode of HOME TOWN, which Ben posted about on Instagram.
“To my brothers before they ask, yes, I cried,” he wrote of the news that the school would be named after him and his wife.
In the attached video clip, he called it “an honor,” and shared his hopes that the couple’s daughters will appreciate it someday.
“I hope they can go to school here one day,” Erin said.
New episodes of HOME TOWN premiere Sunday nights on HGTV and are available to stream the following day on HBO Max.
