Sadie Robertson Huff wanted her children to be a part of her family’s show, DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL.

“You know what’s cool? I told my mom this the other day…I said, ‘I hope you feel complimented by the fact that I’m doing so many things the same that you did for me as a kid,” she told Fox News last week.

She wants her three girls — Honey 4, Haven, 2, and Kit, 8 months — to have a happy childhood like she had.

“My mom was like, ‘That’s the nicest thing I’ve ever heard.’ And I really mean that, like, you know, giving me the confidence to say yes to doing a TV show with my kids because my mom did it with me when I was a kid, which I’m so grateful that she did. Now there’s so many things, so many fears, that we’ve had to navigate, and hard days.”

She had a lot of fun on her family’s TV show as a kid, but it’s different for her now as a mom.

“You’re weighing these different things,” Huff explained. “But yeah…It was such a good experience for me as a kid. I wanted them to have it, and my kids loved it.”

Her oldest, Honey, looked forward to when the film crew would come.

“She had so much fun,” Huff said. “She’s the biggest DUCK DYNASTY fan. She loves to watch the show, and it’s actually been really fun.”

In another interview, she said, “We also trust God with it and we know that this is bigger than us. I’m so thankful my parents let me be a kid on TV.”

“I was the kid [who] witnessed some embarrassing moments of my life [on TV]. I was having my first date! At least Kit is just looking all cute as a baby,” she joked.

She often listens to her mom’s advice on how to navigate the show as a mom of three youngsters.

“My mom has become like, a mentor to me through this process of like…all the different things,” Huff said. “She has helped me so much to navigate it.”

Huff also takes advice from her grandmothers and great-grandmothers. A favorite quote from her great-grandmother is, “you are not kind because other people are kind to you — you are kind because YOU are a kind person.”

The question that prompted Huff to recall that quote actually inspired her podcast, “Whoa That’s Good.” Now, she asks everyone on her podcast, “What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?”

DUCK DYNASTY Season 2 just released on March 7. It’s available to stream on Hulu +Live TV, Philo and Frndly TV.
