Grammy-Nominated Artist ‘Proud’ to Share New Faith-Filled Album

Grammy-nominated Taylor Gordon, a.k.a. The Pocket Queen, spilled all the details about her upcoming, faith-filled album.

“I think [my faith] being my standard has definitely been, like, a filter of what comes to me, and it’s been met with honestly nothing but beautiful reception and respect,” she told Movieguide®.

Gordon is a successful artist, drummer, producer and songwriter and is currently working on her new album.

“What’s in my vision for now is my album, and that is just truly my testimony — the whole journey people don’t know about me, and it’s the most ‘me’ I’ve ever been musically,” Gordon explained, adding, “I feel proud to share the story.”

She continued, “It’s my testimony…I went through depression and a really dark place, so there’s a lot of music that has messages that I no longer resonate with…but at the end of it, it does talk about my relationship with the Lord and finding Jesus.”

In addition to her musical career, Gordon has also begun acting. She recently starred in THE LIFE OF CHUCK.

“I am grateful for the fact that I didn’t understand the gravity of what I was doing…because if I had really known Mike Flanagan and really known all of the people who were a part of this process, I think it would’ve been a little too intimidating,” she told Movieguide® of accepting the role. “But it just seemed to work so well.”

Gordon continued, “I just really have the heart posture of just serving well whatever title at that time that I have, whether it be a wife, a mother, an aunt, a sister, a friend, an actor, or whatever. My main goal is to just really bring light to people and shine light back to Him. So I’m a vessel.”

She often shares her faith on social media, where her Instagram bio reads, “Whatever GOD wants me to be.”

“This little girl would be in awe of what God has done,” she captioned a childhood photo of herself sitting at a drum kit. “The doors that this gift has opened up. Waaaay too much going on to make reels right now. I just ain’t got it in me. I just got gratitude for now.”

Gordon’s commitment to her faith is inspiring, and her fans are looking forward to hearing her testimony and faith journey on her upcoming album!
