AGT Winner Darci Lynne Says God Put Her in Entertainment ‘For a Reason’

Ventriloquist and AMERICA’S GOT TALENT winner Darci Lynne believes God put her in the entertainment industry “for a reason.”
“I’ve always been really reserved, and I think being in the public eye is something that’s been really new for me and a challenge,” she told Movieguide®. “But I believe God has placed me in this industry for a reason, and there’s peace in that. So just kind of sticking to my guns and trusting that there’s a purpose that he’s given me in this industry.”
For Lynne, part of that purpose is helping people laugh. “It’s very important,” she said.
“I think we tend to all get really distracted by the bad things that are going on that we forget…[there’s] a lot of good in this in this world, too. Especially the entertainment industry and film and music, and laughing is really important.”
Lynne first came into the public eye after competing in and winning AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Season 12.
Since then, while she still gets nervous before performing, she remembers that it’s all part of God’s plan.
“I have to remind myself that there is there is a purpose for [being nervous], and making people laugh and smile and kind of reminding them that there’s a good God in this world is really rewarding,” she said.
