Country legend Alan Jackson just announced his final concert before he officially retires.

“It’s #LastCallWithAlan The Finale! Alan is doing one last show in Nashville, Tennessee, where it all began!” an Instagram post from Jackson’s official account announced

The singer has been on his “Last Call: One More for the Road” tour since 2022.

Jackson said, “We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started, and that’s in Nashville, Tennessee – Music City – where country music lives. I gotta do the last one there.”

“It’s been a long road…and it’s taken me places I never imagined,” Jackson added in an interview with PEOPLE. “But I can’t think of a better place to put on a big show and give the fans a finale than in Nashville and include so many special friends.”

Country music stars like Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Lee Ann Womack, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert are all set to join in the fun.

Jackson also shared that all proceeds from the show, titled “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale,” will go to the CMT Research Foundation, which funds research for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

The country star shared his diagnosis of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in 2021, telling TODAY at the time, “I don’t want them to think I’m drunk on stage because I’m having problems with mobility and balance. I have this neuropathy, neurological disease I inherited from my daddy. I’ve been reluctant to talk about this publicly, but it’s been a while, and it’s starting to affect my performance on stage a little bit where I don’t feel comfortable.”

“I just want people to know that’s why I look like I do, if they’re wondering. I don’t want to appear like some whiny celebrity,” Jackson continued. “It’s not going to kill me, it’s not deadly… It’s not fatal – it’s just going to disable me eventually.”

Jackson has been open about the effects CMT has had on him over the years as he continued to tour.

“I think it’s just getting time to start thinking about hanging it up full-time,” he said in a 2024 Instagram video. “Most of my fans know I have a degenerative health condition that affects my legs and arms and mobility that I got from my daddy, and it’s getting worse and it makes me more uncomfortable on stage. I have a hard time and I just want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to.”

Jackson’s fans are sad to hear the country star is finally hanging up his guitar but glad that he’s prioritizing his health as he continues to battle this disease.
