Anne Wilson’s recent opening act gigs for country star Morgan Wallen reminded her that “God writes the best stories.”

“Still in awe of the past two weekends opening for @morganwallen and stepping onto those massive stadium stages,” she captioned a video of clips from the shows. “It’s something I never could’ve dreamed up on my own — but God did. He’s been writing the most beautiful story for my life, one I never saw coming. I’m so thankful for everyone who came to the shows, and I’m more excited than ever for what’s ahead.”

In the video’s voiceover, Wilson shared that “a theme throughout my life is that God writes the best stories. All along He was writing a story in my life far greater than anything I could have ever dreamed.”

“I just can’t wait for what’s next and what’s to come,” the singer concluded.

Wilson’s fans can’t wait, either, especially after her recent announcement.

“When I was a kid, I used to dream about being an astronaut and landing on the moon someday…but God had a dream for me that was so much bigger than I could’ve ever imagined,” Wilson wrote on Instagram. “Over the past year, I’ve been dreaming up new songs while reflecting on the beautiful story God has been telling with my life.”

She continued, “My new album Stars is the sound of surrender…letting go of my plans and daring to dream new dreams. Every song carries a piece of my heart and is a reminder that God writes the best stories. I can’t wait for you to hear them all on October 17!!!”

In a statement given to The Christian Beat, Wilson added, “This past year, I’ve spent so much time writing and praying through new songs while reflecting on the incredible story God’s been writing with my life. Stars is the sound of surrender — of letting go of my own plans and stepping fully into His. Every song is a piece of my heart and a reminder of His faithfulness.”

“And I’m beyond excited to share that The STARS Tour is coming to cities across the country this fall — it’s going to be such a joy to sing these songs with all of you and celebrate this journey together!” Wilson announced.

The singer-songwriter might have a packed schedule, but she still finds time to give back. Wilson recently held a benefit concert to raise money for families and communities affected by recent tornadoes in Kentucky.

“I’m overwhelmed by God’s grace and the generosity He stirred in people’s hearts last night,” Wilson wrote in an Instagram post. “We raised over $100,000 for those affected by the devastating tornadoes in London and Laurel County. Whether you bought a ticket to the show, prayed over this event or joined the livestream to worship with us – thank you. I know God is moving and I pray this brings this community one step closer to feeling whole again!”

Wilson is still busy topping the Christian and country charts, racking up millions of streams and performing to large crowds, but she always finds time to give back — and give the glory to God.
