Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison Team Up for This Sequel

Cameron Candace Bure and Cameron Mathison are teaming up again for a very exciting project!
“Cam and I are back together again!” Bure said in a video shared on the Great American Pure Flix Facebook page. “We’re going to do a sequel to our Christmas movie that just aired last year.”
Bure and Mathison starred opposite each other in HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS, which premiered in 2024 on Great American Family.

Mathison remarked on the pair’s onscreen chemistry, saying, “When we worked together, there was an instant dynamic that we had that was very comfortable and trusting, and I think there was a great connection there — we’ve known each other a long time, but you never know.”
Bure teased the sequel in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “Cameron and I actually paired so well together, so we are actually considering doing a sequel to this movie. The fans really enjoyed it.”
“Cameron is one of those people because we are staple actors in the genre. It was crazy, thinking about the fact that we hadn’t done a movie together,” she added.
Both Bure and Mathison have been mainstays in Christmas movies over the years, but HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS marked their first time working on one together.
“Cameron Mathison and I wanted to do a Christmas movie together for so long, and we finally found a script that I thought would be really cute,” Bure told First For Women before the movie’s premiere. “We play two childhood friends who have known each other forever, and that felt natural because Cameron and I have known each other for a really long time and it’s a very sweet story.”
Mathison also spoke about his excitement at the audience’s response to HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS.
“You make these movies, and of course, there’s a selfish aspect to making them, but also you hope so badly that people at home are going to enjoy it and connect with it, and you want them to, and when they did, that just made me so happy,” he said.
