HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS is a Christmas romance on Great American Family about two childhood friends who inherit a maple farm from the woman’s Great Uncle in Washington and must decide whether to sell it to a large agriculture company. The movie opens with two children, Sophie and Sammy, playing hide and seek on Sophie’s Great Uncle Henry’s maple tree farm. Sophie visits her Great Uncle every Christmas.
Twenty-nine years later, Sophie is a corporate lawyer at a big firm working on a merger for a large agriculture conglomerate. Meanwhile, Sammy is an award-winning screenwriter working on an ending for a Christmas in July script. They both get word that Uncle Henry has died. Also, he’s left 60% of his farm to Sophie and 40% to Sammy. So, they each travel to Washington to sign the papers accepting the inheritance.
Sophie and Sammy pick up their friendship where they left off 29 years ago. Both would like to preserve Uncle Henry’s maple farm and farmhouse, but they may have no choice. Will they find a solution? Will romance finally blossom?
