TWO AND A HALF MEN actor Charlie Sheen got candid about his spirituality in a conversation with cultural commentator Tucker Carlson.
During the interview, Carlson asked Sheen, “Bill Maher asked you about God? What world is this? We are in a brand new age.”
Sheen did not like the way he responded to Maher’s question, so he clarified his beliefs when responding to Carlson.
“Most days, I don’t know what else to call [God]; that’s what I should have said in that moment. Most days, I don’t have a better word or anything else for it,” Sheen explained.
Throughout his life, the actor experienced “the timing of certain events” that made him think “there was a supernatural quality here,” and his father, Martin Sheen’s, Catholic faith informed his spirituality.

“Well, my dad, a devout Catholic growing up…he always let us know that that was his personal journey and we were welcome to climb on board, but it wasn’t anything that he was he was going to mandate,” he explained.
Though he remains “God curious,” Sheen also acknowledged that “Nothing’s a coincidence.”
“It’s just, everything’s connected,” he added.
Though Sheen might not be in a place where he’s ready to fully accept God, his daughter Lola got baptized in January after finding true freedom in Christ when He delivered her from “severe anxiety.”
“When I was in my deepest depression, there was a moment where I realized I hit rock bottom. I felt so lost and hopeless, and was just doing my best to make it to the next day. I just accepted my life was going to be like that forever, and thought I would never genuinely laugh again,” she shared on Instagram.
“Until, I met not only my Savior but my best friend, Jesus,” Lola continued. “I can’t really explain it other than it was supernatural, but Jesus met me exactly where I was, and He forever became my sun. I began to trust Jesus with my life, when He chose me when no one else did, and loved me when I didn’t feel worthy of love. He gave me a light, when I couldn’t find my own, and rescued me from the darkness.”
She added: “Jesus saved me from battling severe anxiety, and gave me a peace that makes no sense. I now find myself laughing again, in places I only had cried. Jesus fulfilled His promise of making me new, and completely renewed my mind. Jesus is the only reason why I’m here today and made my life worth living. I chose to get baptized at the beginning of this year, because I made it through this year only by the strength of Jesus, and I am so happy to go into this next year, after publicly declaring Jesus as my Savior. I am forever saved by His Grace, through faith.”
Continue to pray that Sheen finds a personal relationship with Christ like his daughter.
