Why Chuck Norris Urges Christians to Vote This Election

The 2024 elections are tomorrow, Chuck Norris explained why it is important that Christians vote even when they feel their voices aren’t being heard.

A new study revealed a depressing statistic: 41 million Christians are likely not to vote this year. This lack of political involvement can be explained by a variety of factors, including that 68% of non-voters lack interest in politics, 57% dislike the major candidates and 52% believe their vote will not make a difference.

“A lack of confidence in the process, frustration with the choices, and a general apathy toward the political sphere have left millions of believers on the sidelines,” explained Dr. George Barna, the head researcher on the study.

Norris believes that this intense disengagement is also fueled by a misunderstanding of religion’s role in politics. Because the Founding Fathers wrote about the separation of church and state, modern politicians have made the public believe that faith has no role in our voting.

“Nothing could be further from the truth,” Norris said. “The way I see it: Re-educating and reigniting the founders’ original intent would in fact help fan into the flames the election passions of the entire faith community, no matter what your religious preference.”

Christianity, in fact, was crucial to the founding of our country.

“Religion played a major role in the American Revolution by offering a moral sanction for opposition to the British — an assurance to the average American that revolution was justified in the sight of God,” Norris wrote, quoting the Library of Congress. “As a recent scholar has observed, ‘by turning colonial resistance into a righteous cause, and by crying the message to all ranks in all parts of the colonies, ministers did the work of secular radicalism and did it better.’”

The dismissal of faith’s role in American politics didn’t begin until the ’50s with the introduction of the Johnson Amendment. However, this law is not being used as intended when it intimidates religious leaders into being quiet about politics.

“This ban is at odds with our own history. Since the birth of our nation, pastors and churches have been at the forefront of shaping public debate and our choice of public servants,” explained Tony Perkins.

While Christian leaders have been beaten into submission to keep quiet about politics, Christians should not allow their voices to go unheard. Rather than sitting on the sidelines and allowing our country to slip further and further from the “city on the hill” it was meant to be, believers need to fight for our beliefs; this is the only way to combat the moral decline that has ravaged our country. If 41 million more Christian voices were heard this election, our leaders would be forced to course correct.
