Comedian Dustin Anderson is reminding us that no matter how much plastic surgery you get, “you can’t look young.”
“This is just a reminder that when you get old, you can either look old or you can look weird,” he said in an Instagram video. “You can’t look young. You already did that, and that part’s over, and I know that because I got old, so I just look like this now.”
Anderson added that he wasn’t telling people not to try Botox, fillers or other cosmetic procedures.
“I’m just saying that when you’re 60, people aren’t going to look at you and think that you’re 20,” he explained. “They’ll probably look at you and think that you look like somebody who did a lot of different things to look like that, but they’re gonna know that you’re old…I hope this helps.”
Anderson’s message is especially timely, as actress Anne Hathaway’s new, younger-looking appearance has been in the headlines lately. While the actress has never confirmed whether or not she’s gone under the knife, some experts have shared their guesses about her hypothetical procedures.

Dr. Gary Motykie, a Los-Angeles based plastic surgeon, told the Daily Mail in 2023 that he has “no doubt” Hathaway has had work done on her nose, jaw and face.
While it seems like most famous figures have had one cosmetic surgery or another, there are plenty of stars who have made their opinions on the practice clear.
“First of all, I’m lucky to be alive, so I don’t mind aging,” HOME ALONE actress Catherine O’Hara told Entertainment Tonight Canada. “I don’t want to get surgery and I don’t want to get needles, other than acupuncture needles. I believe we should embrace and respect age and love ourselves for it.”
TITANIC star Kate Winslet agreed, telling the Telegraph, “I will never give in. [Cosmetic surgery] goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty.”
“It’s mad. It’s not a normal thing to do, and the culture that we’ve created that says it’s normal is not normal,” actress Emma Thompson said in a 2014 interview with Hello Magazine. “It’s chronically unhealthy, and there’s this very serious side to all of that because we’re going to end up with this sort of ‘super-culture’ that’s going to suggest to young people, girls and boys, that this looks normal. And it’s not normal.”
Like Dustin Anderson humorously pointed out, no amount of plastic surgery will truly make you look young again, so why not embrace your own natural beauty?
