Actor Urges Us to Read This Book of the Bible Amid Grief

DC Young Fly, a comedian, actor and social media influencer, urged people to read the book of Job while speaking at his friend, rapper Rich Homie Quan’s, funeral. Quan died earlier this month.
“Everybody go read the book of Job,” the YouTuber began. “He took everything from Job. He kept snatching everything from Job, and Job, like every Christian, you know, everybody like, ‘I put so much good into the world, why so much bad coming to me?’ He’s like, ‘I’ve never really been bad to nobody. I just want to talk to Him. I just want to ask Him why. Why He doing this to me?'”
“God looked at him and said, ‘Who are you talking to? Why not you? This is the time for you to praise my name. This is the time for you to tell the other people through the midst of pain, I’m the one that’s giving you the strength,'” Young Fly explained.
“He reminded us all of something powerful,” My Best Life Online said of Young Fly’s comments. “In moments of tragedy, it’s easy to ask, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ But instead, he urged us to give God the praise for giving us the strength to keep going. Like Job, it’s not about understanding the ‘why,’ but trusting that through every trial, we’re being prepared for something greater.”
“Keep faith, keep praising, and know that your strength is a reflection of the battles you’ve overcome,” the outlet concluded. “Rest in peace to Rich Homie Quan and all our loved ones gone too soon.”
DC relied on his faith to help him through grief in the past after his girlfriend, who was the mother of his three children, died last year.
“God is real,” the Atlanta native said. “I come from a church background. You know what I’m saying? But when you find your own relationship…this ain’t about nobody else relationship. This is all about me. I believe in a higher power, and I understand how life goes. We can’t get mad at how our life go. We can only control our emotions and how we react to it.”
“God is the greatest. He’s granted me the strength to keep going,” he added. “You feel what I’m saying? And I gotta take care of my babies…That’s the key to live. You just gotta keep going, stay prayed up, and never let the tragedies and the stuff that you’re going through, you know, bring you down.”
