A new faith-based documentary explores the journey of Chris Worthington, a “24-year-old filmmaker and founder of Every Nation Will Bow as he travels across Brazil, Ghana and Nigeria, documenting the vibrant, multifaceted expressions of Christianity around the globe.”

Called MULTIPLIED, the Fathom event will hit theaters in May.

“I watched Billy Graham so much after I got saved that I felt like I knew him,” Worthington said. “So when he passed away, the power of his life and legacy really hit me. And then I thought to myself, ‘Well, with him gone, what does the future of evangelism look like?”

Worthington follows these evangelists in the documentary, including working with popular preachers like Daniel Kolenda and Macoby Donaldson.

Many brief testimonies from these evangelists can be found on the MULTIPLIED Instagram page.

One such testimony reads:

“Meet Maria! After falling and hitting her head on a stone in the bush of rural Tanzania, she permanently lost vision in her left eye. Little did she know, God had other plans. Evangelist Devin Barrett received a word of knowledge while eating breakfast one morning about a woman named Maria, who had an issue with her left eye. Devin spent the entire day with our Director @iamchrisworthington until they found her. After praying with her, she received her full healing and exclaimed in Swahili, “Jesus still heals!”, and began to dance! Her life is a testament, that Jesus does indeed, still heal!”

Another testimony reads:

“The morning of Macoby Donaldson’s first day of open air preaching, everything went wrong. His hired driver showed up an hour late and drunk. On the way to the local market he planned to preach at, the driver was pulled over for swerving, making Macoby hours late to the local market. But Macoby didn’t give up, when he finally arrived and was able to preach the Gospel, the response was incredible. While leading the crowd to Christ, Macoby yelled, “Say, Jesus!” Over 100 people filled in decision cards and were connected to local churches! In short, never give up!”

Worthington said they encountered significant challenges during filming.

“One week before we got to Nigeria, we were informed that a terrorist organization killed a pastor and his entire family, and we were doing a 500,000-person Gospel event right there,” he said. “On the way, we got trapped in a dust storm, so we couldn’t fly and had to go on a really dangerous highway. We met a guy … who pulled out a silver Glock. I’ll never forget it. He knew who we were; he pointed straight at us, right at my head. I saw the evil in his eyes, and at that moment, I thought, ‘I guess this is where it ends.”

However, God intervened, and the Gospel message marches forth.

“Film is a huge tool for evangelism. The new crusade field is the living room… I think that a Christian film Renaissance is happening right now, and I think that’s how God wants to reach America because you are going to reach America with your phone, with your Smart TV,” he said.
