Erin and Ben Napier Introduce New Additions to Family

Erin and Ben Napier of HGTV’s HOME TOWN just revealed two new additions to their family.

In a video interview with talk show host Jennifer Hudson, the couple shared about their new pups.

“Yeah, so we have two. Have you ever heard of the saying, ‘That dog won’t hunt?’ So, we have two dogs that wouldn’t hunt,” Ben explained. “They are hunting school dropouts. These are like very expensive like if you buy a hunting dog from this company, it’s several thousand.”

Erin added, “They’re like champion bloodline dogs, but these dogs wouldn’t get in the water, and they wouldn’t retrieve, and they were like, ‘You can just have them.’ So, we have adopted hunting school dropouts.”

The couple also shared that their daughters Helen, 6, and Mae, 2, really enjoy the new family members.

“They are really into fetching, which the girls love. They’re really into snuggling,” Ben said.

Erin previously introduced the two dogs to her audience on Instagram.

“Finn and Annie. They’re new here,” she captioned a photo of the two dogs in the grass, both wearing bandanas around their necks.

“Labradors are meant to be part of the family. We bred chocolates for several years and I’ve been doing pet therapy with them for over 10 years and the bonds between these dogs and children is precious,” one fan commented.

“We have a black and a chocolate lab and they are the most amazing breed!” another said.

Erin and Ben’s hit show HOME TOWN recently began its eighth season.

“Erin and Ben Napier love their small Mississippi hometown, especially the old historical houses. Using found materials and old textiles, they’re keeping the character of these classic homes but giving them modern and affordable updates. From Erin’s imaginative hand sketches to Ben’s custom handiwork, this couple is bringing homes back to life and making sure their small town’s future is as bright as its past,” a synopsis from HGTV reads.

“I don’t know how it’s possible that for 8 years it’s been our job to tell the story of small town America and help families personalize 100+ houses in my hometown,” Erin posted. “We learned this year that only 2.5% of shows make 100 episodes. What an honor. We are so grateful that you keep watching.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the Napiers:

HGTV’s Erin and Ben Napier are heading to Florida for Season 3 of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER.

“It’s a new location and you’ve probably never heard of it because it’s not tourist Florida, which is our favorite Florida,” Ben said of their shooting location, a town called Sebring.

Erin added, “It’s off the beaten path. It’s not the beach. It’s not the amusement parks.”

Ben called Sebring “a really interesting town” and said the couple is “cautiously optimistic” about what they can achieve in the next season of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER.

“This show is really hard to make and we have…a lot of special guests coming and a lot of people coming in to help, but there’s going to be a lot of work that’s going to go into it,” he continued.

The couple also teased some guest stars, with Erin saying, “The real HOME TOWN fans are going to be very excited to see someone who is a part of TAKEOVER Season 3.”
