Filmmaker Calls Movieguide® Master Class ‘Most Fantastic Event of My Educational Career’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Filmmaker Domenic Fusco credits Movieguide®’s “How To Succeed in Hollywood Without Losing Your Soul” course for his partnership with Ron Howard’s production company.
“That was the most fantastic event of my educational career, and I have four degrees after college,” Fusco said of the master class.
He explained that Movieguide®’s class taught him that “there’s a very disciplined form you have to follow.”
“If you don’t follow it, your movie is going to get rejected, [and] you’re wasting your time,” Fusco continued.
His movie MURF THE SURF was recently nominated for one of Movieguide®’s Teddy Bear Awards®.
The movie centers around Jack Murphy, or “Murf,” a surfer and thief who was convicted of murder in 1968. After he was released from prison, Murphy became an ordained minister, working in the field of prison ministry.
“For almost 30 years we have produced media for the world renowned prison evangelist, Jack Roland Murphy, ‘Murf the Surf,’” Fusco’s website reads.
Fusco’s career as a filmmaker is only growing.
“We actually have a contract with Ron Howard’s group, Imagine Entertainment,” he shared. “We’re doing a documentary and a feature-length film.”
Fusco concluded, “I would suggest to anyone who is interested in the movie industry to take the class.”
A description of Movieguide®’s “How To Succeed in Hollywood Without Losing Your Soul” master class reads:
