FLIP OR FLOP Stars Reconcile: Forgive ‘A Hundred Percent’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Eight years after relational tension in their marriage led to a divorce, Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa shared that they both forgive the other for the hurt that came from that relationship.
“I know we’re in a good place now. But yeah, we went through a lot of stuff,” Haack said, per PEOPLE. “I don’t think anyone understands just how much stuff we went through. We met when we were so young. When our stuff imploded, I felt like not only did I lose…we were best friends, but also I felt like I lost, like, I need to be a full-time mom. And that really, really, really hurt me a lot and really affected me.”
“I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost,” El Moussa responded. “And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.”
After successfully building a house-flipping business together and landing an HGTV show, the couple began to have major problems after El Moussa was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. They have both admitted that they could have acted better during that time and recognize the pain they caused.

Though they remain separate, the understanding and forgiveness that Haack and El Moussa share is especially important given that they have two kids — daughter Taylor and son Brayden — together.
“I’m really sorry for ***. I really am. I just want you to know that,” Haack said. “You forgive me?”
“A hundred percent, yeah,” El Moussa responded, adding, “a hundred percent. I did a lot of things too. I hold zero against you.”
“You’re a great dad. I’m really proud of you,” Haack added. “You’ve come a really long way. I can see it, you know. You’re so much calmer, you’re so much wiser, for real.”
This forgiveness is for real. In 2022 they re-signed with HGTV to continue FLIP OR FLOP, even though it meant working together again.
