Hailey Bieber Says Husband Justin Bieber Is ‘Getting Better Every Single Day’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Hailey Bieber shared an update with fans on her husband Justin’s health after he revealed his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

“He’s doing really well,” Bieber said. “He is getting better every single day. He’s feeling a lot better, and obviously it was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally OK. I’m just grateful that he’s fine.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the pop star’s diagnosis:

Last week pop star Justin Bieber took to Instagram to ask for prayers for recovery from a rare disease called Ramsay Hunt syndrome that can cause facial paralysis.

“I hope you guys understand. I’ll just be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so I can do what I was born to do, ” Bieber told fans after canceling upcoming shows for his Justice World Tour.

On his Instagram post Bieber showed how the syndrome paralyzed the right side of his face affecting his eye, nostril and mouth.

“This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case. But my body’s telling me I gotta slow down, ” the singer said.

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is a rare disease that is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and shingles. Symptoms include severe rashes and paralysis in one side of the face.

Although in some rare cases patients can suffer permanent hearing loss and facial paralysis, the majority of people recover and Bieber is confident that he heal.

“[W]e don’t know how much time it’s gonna be, but it’s gonna be okay. I have hope,” Bieber told his fans.

Bieber said that he is trusting in God and his timing for his healing.

“And I trust God and I trust this is all for a reason,” Bieber said.

In an update on June 14, Bieber said, “Wanted to share a little bit of how I’ve been feelin. Each day has gotten better and through all of the discomfort I have found comfort in the one who designed me and knows me.”

The singer continued, “He know the darkest parts of me that I want no one to know about and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms,” the statement continued. “This perspective has give me peace during this horrific storm that I’m facing.”

Bieber also gave an update on her own health after suffering a mini stroke earlier this year.

“I feel a lot, well, I feel a lot better after that situation,” she shared “I feel good. You know, I had a procedure done to close this hole in my heart, and I’m just giving my body the time to heal and recover.”

Bieber continued, “It was a little hard for me to recover from the procedure just giving myself the time to work out again and feel like normal, if that makes sense. But I’m doing well now, and I’m not having to be on any medication anymore. So, I feel good.”

The pop star said that experiencing these health issues in public has brought the couple closer together.

“Going through it very publicly in front of a lot of people, it kind of almost, in a way forces you to have to just be up front about what’s going on so that people understand what you’re going through,” she explained. “And I think it actually opened up a lot of really important and amazing conversations.

“I think the silver lining of it, honestly, is that it brings us a lot closer because you’re going through this together,” she concluded. “You’re being there for each other, you’re supporting each other and there’s just something that really like bonds you through these times.”
