LAW & ORDER will celebrate their 35th anniversary with a very special fan experience — the Dun Dun Diner.

“The Dun Dun Diner invites fans to enjoy some delicious treats in a LAW & ORDER-themed space, complete with nods to the 27th Precinct, plenty of SVU-related easter eggs dedicated to Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her squad, and much more,” NBC promised in a website post.

The diner — whose title refers to the iconic sound effect that plays in LAW & ORDER and its various spin-offs — will give fans “the chance to indulge in diner favorite dishes, get their hands on limited-edition squad merchandise, and surround themselves with interactive moments and imagery that call back to LAW & ORDER’s heroes, guest stars, and decades worth of cases, leads, and clues.”

“The pop-up diner, which will be located at Rockefeller Center (home to NBCUniversal headquarters), will take place only for one weekend: Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, 2025,” Variety reported

LAW & ORDER also celebrated this major anniversary at this year’s Emmys, with stars from the franchise — Hargitay, Ice-T, Christopher Meloni, S. Epatha Merkerson and Tony Goldwyn — taking the stage to pay tribute to the franchise.

“We are the LAW & ORDER dream team,” Meloni said. “Icons, veteran survivors of so many rooftop chase scenes.”

Merkerson said, “And we are all here with one clear mission,” to which Goldwyn added, jokingly, “To remind you that Mariska Hargitay has literally solved more fictional crimes than most actual precincts.”

Merkerson reminded the audience Hargitay has been starring in LAW & ORDER: SVU for the past 27 years, joking, “That’s longer than some of you have been in therapy because of SVU.”

Hargitay has frequently spoken about the connection she feels to her character, Detective Olivia Benson. In an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the actress said she relates to her character’s “compassion” and “empathy.”

“[We both] feel the fear and do it anyway,” she continued. “She’s not as funny as I am and she doesn’t have this much joy and balance, but she’s awesome so we give her a pass on all her flaws.”

She also spoke about her longtime friendship with Meloni; the two have starred in SVU on and off over the past 27 years.

“We are just connected,” Hargitay said. “We are so close, it’s like we’ve been through the battle together. We know each other so well. We love each other so much. We respect each other so much.”
