NCIS fans can’t wait for the franchise’s latest spinoff, NCIS: TONY & ZIVA. Here’s everything we know about the show, including an unexpected nod to the characters’ early days together.
“We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready,” actors Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo said in a statement, via Deadline. “The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter.”
In NCIS: TONY & ZIVA, the titular characters are struggling with an on-again, off-again relationship as they raise their 12-year-old daughter, Tali, together. However, when Tony’s security firm is attacked, the family has to go on the run across Europe and “try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after,” per an official description of the show.
In a special, small nod to Tony and Ziva’s past, the show is set in Paris. NCIS superfans might remember that this is where the characters once worked together in NCIS, calling back to the beginning of their tempestuous relationship.
In addition to Weatherly and de Pablo, NCIS: TONY & ZIVA’s cast includes Isla Gie as their daughter Tali, as well as Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi and James D’Arcy.
Weatherly and de Pablo also serve as executive producers on the show, with de Pablo telling TV Insider, “We are a part of making decisions. It doesn’t mean that we make the decisions or the final decision, but we are a part of this collaborative effort that goes into making a show. And that’s been a real surprise and kind of fun to be a part of.”
While details about the show have been scarce, a trailer was released earlier this year, giving fans a taste of what they can expect from NCIS: TONY & ZIVA, from exciting action sequences to romantic scenes between Tony and Ziva.

The trailer ended up breaking records for both an NCISverse show and a Paramount+ project, amassing the most views for a trailer in seven days (93 million across broadcast, social and digital platforms), according to Deadline.
There is no official premiere date yet, but fans can expect to start streaming NCIS: TONY & ZIVA on Paramount+ sometime this fall. We can’t wait!
