NFL Wide Receiver Terry McLaurin Praises God After Amazing Catch: ‘God Is Good’
By Movieguide® Staff
The Washington Commanders’ team captain Terry McLaurin recently praised God’s faithfulness in his life after an athletic catch at the end of the game helped his team defeat the Indianapolis Colts.
It was McLaurin’s first trip to his hometown in Indianapolis after being drafted into the NFL in 2019.
Supported by family and friends, McLaurin caught a late-game pass that put his team within scoring distance of the endzone.
The Commanders walked away with a 17-16 victory, moving them to an even 4-4 record this season.
Despite his heroics on the field, McLaurin gave God the glory and thanked his teammates.
“God is good, man. He’s been so faithful in my life, and His mercy is the reason why I’m standing here before you guys,” the 27-year-old receiver said after the game.

Coaches and teammates also awarded McLaurin the game ball.
Upon receiving a contract extension with the Commanders for the 2022 season, McLaurin said that he saw the opportunity as a chance to serve God.
“I am thankful to serve a God who has granted me endless grace and mercy,” he wrote on social media after the renewed contract. “He is the reason I am standing here today. Without him, I do not know where I would be. I am excited to see what he has in store for me and how he will use my testimony for his goodness.”
