As winter quickly approaches, PBS has revealed its TV lineup following the new year, releasing its schedule through March.
Fans of PBS’s hottest shows won’t have to wait long before diving back into their favorite worlds. Season 10 of FINDING YOUR ROOTS kicks off the new year, debuting on Jan. 2.
“For more than a decade, renowned Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. has helped to expand America’s sense of itself, stimulating a national conversation about identity with humor, wisdom, and compassion,” a description of the show reads. “Professor Gates has explored the ancestry of dozens of influential people from diverse backgrounds, taking millions of viewers deep into the past to reveal the connections that bind us all.”
CALL THE MIDWIFE fans will have to wait a little longer as season 13 remains locked away until March 17.
While little is known about the upcoming season, Helen George, who plays Trixie on the show, revealed that fans can expect “lots of babies” and “a few shocks.”
The series has also been renewed for at least two more seasons.
“We are a family behind the scenes, on the screen, and in front of the telly, and I’m thrilled that we’re all heading into the 1970s together,” show creator Heidi Thomas said following the announcement.
Along with dramas, the network’s first quarter lineup also features a heavy diet of science content, with new episodes of NOVA and NATURE releasing regularly.
