Prayers for Donald Trump Spike After Assassination Attempt

The Hallow prayer app reports that prayers for former president Donald Trump have spiked following the assassination attempt on his life last Saturday.
“Just before the July 4th weekend, we launched a new feature in the app called prayer campaigns,” Hallow app CEO Alex Jones told Fox News Digital on Monday. “The hope was to give folks a chance to come together in prayer and create specific campaigns for their personal intentions and requests.”
Jones has “been blown away” by the response to the campaign feature.
“We’ve seen thousands of campaigns created by people all over the world – for folks who have lost loved ones, young children who are sick, men and women discerning religious life, and so many more,” Jones said.
Since the attempt on Trump on Saturday, there have been many campaigns created to pray for Trump, his family, the other victims at the event and America.
Movieguide® reported Monday:
Former President and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is praising God for saving his life after he was shot during an assassination attempt at a campaign event Saturday.
“Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” Trump wrote Sunday morning. “We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.”
On Saturday, Trump revealed that he was “shot by a bullet that pierced the upper part” of his ear at a Pennsylvania rally.
Fox News reported, “Hallow user Matthew Norton created a ‘Novena for Healing’ titled ‘Pray for Donald Trump and victims.’ The nine-day campaign features actor Jonathan Roumie, who portrayed Jesus Christ in the TV series ‘The Chosen,’ leading followers in daily prayer sessions.”
Marcus Luttrell, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, whose experience during “Operation Red Wings” inspired the movie, LONE SURVIVOR, created a three-day campaign. The campaign had 41,000 people join as of Monday morning.
“You do not have to support [Trump] politically, but we all should pray for him and that there are no further harmful things done to any political person,” one user wrote on another campaign.
Mark Wahlberg, who starred as Luttrell in LONE SURVIVOR, starred in an ad for the app during the Super Bowl this year.
Three days later on Ash Wednesday, the app had the most single-day downloads it ever had. It also took the No. 1 spot in the Apple App Store.
Now, with over 20 million downloads, the app just continues to grow.
“When we started Hallow, it would’ve been crazy for us to imagine a thousand people praying together on it, much less 1 million,” Jones previously told Fox.
“Tens of thousands have joined these campaigns and we’re seeing more created and shared every day,” Jones said, confirming his belief in the “power of prayer.”
“We think it has the ability to change the world, to save lives, heal wounds and, even in a world that constantly seeks to divide, to bring us together,” he said.
However, China has tried to lessen Hallow’s impact in its part of the world. On Tuesday, Jones posted on X that Hallow was booted out of the country’s App Store.
“Praying for all the Christians in China,” the app’s founder said.
