Grammy award nominated artist Tasha Layton has just released her first ever live worship album called, “Worship Through It.”
The album became available on March 7 and includes several original songs as well as covers.
According to The Christian Beat, the album was “captured during an honest night of raw worship with friends. The collection showcases a mix of original selections, including a new powerful live version of Layton’s most recent No. 1 hit, “Worship Through It (feat. Chris Brown),” and opening anthem “God of Deliverance;’ as well as a host of familiar favorites like Elevation Worship’s “Praise,” Phil Wickham’s “Living Hope” and Red Rocks Worship’s “Good Plans,” the latter of which proved to be a standout moment during the recording.”
Layton shared the release of the album on her social media and said, “I pray that these songs meet you in a fresh new way!”
Layton has used her music to tell the world about Jesus and share her story of redemption.

“Scripture says that the enemy is the father of lies,” Layton continued, “and I didn’t know that I had taken a message and that the enemy had used that message year after year to keep me bound.”
Layton would walk away from music at a young age, but soon after she switched her major in college from music to religion, she began to go on her own journey to finding her faith.
“I was searching for wholeness, just searching for anything that could give me peace that passed my own understanding,” Layton explained. “In all of those other religions, the thing that was missing was power. There was no power to transform my life… There was no power in these other gods.”
Lost and without hope, Layton fell into a deep depression and would attempt to take her own life when she placed a loaded gun against her head and pulled the trigger. The gun wouldn’t fire and Layton took that as a sign from God.
“I thought, ‘God, maybe I’m still supposed to be here. Maybe You have a plan for my life,’” she said.
“That day was an altar moment in my life,” she added, “and it set me on a trajectory of wanting to serve, remembering my calling.”
From that moment on, Layton would continue her journey of faith and dedicate her life to creating music for the one true King.
