TikTok Bans Ads for Anti-Trans Activewear Company

TikTok is attempting to squelch traditional morality yet again.
The Chinese-based app blocked ads from a brand called XX-XY Athletics, a sports apparel company that wants to protect women’s sports and spaces from the dangerous transgender ideology.
“It is simply undeniable that sex matters, especially in sport. It is the single biggest determinant of athletic performance. Men and women are different. It’s just a fact. Men have XY chromosomes and more testosterone which makes them stronger and faster,” the company’s website explains. “It is simply unfair and dangerous at times, to allow males (XY) to compete in girls and women’s (XX chromosomes) sports.”
Founder Jennifer Sey announced on X that her company’s advertisements have been blocked by TikTok.
“Tik Tok just permanently banned the ads for my company @xx_xyathletics that we only just started running. No mention of what policy was violated,” she wrote. She included a photo of the email she received in her post.
Sey, the former Levi’s global brand president, launched XX-XY Athletics last March and partnered “with former NCAA swimmers Riley Gaines and Paula Scanlan, who both competed against transgender athlete Lia Thomas. The brand also includes de-transitioner Chloe Cole as an ambassador,” Turning Point USA reported.
“Somehow standing up for women and girls in the world today is considered bigoted and anti-trans, and the irony is that’s exactly what we talk about in the ad,” Sey told Fox News of TikTok’s ban.
“You know, it was meant to be an inspiration for women and girls, and the 70% of Americans that agree with us, not to be daunted when they are called names and told they’re bigots and told what they’re saying is offensive when they stand up for themselves. It’s compassionate to stand up for women and girls, but not according to TikTok apparently,” she added.
Movieguide® previously reported on swimmer Riley Gaines:
Former Kentucky swimmer and National Champion Riley Gaines joined the “Sports Spectrum Podcast” with Jason Romano to discuss her faith and when it really became her own.
Gaines decided to prioritize her faith in August 2020.
“So, that was, I would say, when my faith became my own, but even looking back now, I still don’t think at that time I had a good grasp,” she revealed. “I was kind of going through the motions. Yes, I was listening. Yes, you know, those things when I would attend church, but I don’t know if I acted in my day-to-day life like a churchgoer, like a Christian, like someone who embodies Christ and His message.”
