THE CHOSEN’s Elizabeth Tabish has a new movie, BETWEEN BORDERS, available on the Angel App and Angel.com.
“BETWEEN BORDERS is based on the true story of the Petrosyan family, but their experience is shared by scores of Armenians around the world, specifically Armenian Christians,” said Jared Geesey, Chief Distribution Officer of Angel Studios. “Filled with powerful performances, the Angel Guild is enthusiastically supporting the film, both in theaters and now through our streaming platform.”
“If there ever was a film for Armenians everywhere to rally behind, this is that film. Between Borders is a reminder that the moviegoing experience is still magical,” said Armen Karaoghlanian, Founder & CEO, Armenian Film Society. “This is a film that explores the strength of family, the power of faith, and the journey of overcoming life’s challenges with your loved ones by your side. You will want to cherish this experience with your family.”
“It’s just a really beautiful story about [the Petrosyan family] seeking a home in this world and also really finding…home in their faith, too,” Tabish recently told Movieguide®.
Part of Movieguide®’s review reads:
BETWEEN BORDERS is a powerful historical drama with a compelling true story that’s well produced. Tight direction by Mark Freiburger and excellent acting and film editing make this an outstanding cinematic offering. Elizabeth Tabish (Mary Magdalene from THE CHOSEN series) is particularly effective as the mother. BETWEEN BORDERS has a strong Christian, moral worldview. It repeatedly shows the positive impact a small Christian church can have as it works in the lives of the Petrosyan family. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for older children and teenagers for some references to genocide and brief sequences of violence and peril.

“This is a very important story. Very relevant to… today’s world. It deals with the issues of persecution and discrimination and very specifically, what the call of the church is—its ministry in taking on God’s word” and “answering the heed of the great commission,” he said, adding that he could relate to the Petrosyans’ experience as an immigrant who had to overcome adversity.
