WCTH’s Mamie Laverock Reunites With Costars After Serious Fall

WHEN CALLS THE HEART actress Mamie Laverock is thanking fans for their support after falling off a hospital balcony earlier this year.
“Thank you guys so much for these beautiful cards,” Laverock said in a video shared to her Facebook page. “There’s so many, and I love them all so much. Thank you.”

Mamie Laverock, who plays Rosaleen Sullivan on WHEN CALLS THE HEART, needs prayer after a fall from a five-story balcony has left her on life support.
Laverock’s GoFundMe page explains that the actress was originally taken to the hospital for a “medical emergency” on May 11.
“Nicole [Laverock’s mother] was able to get there in time to save her life,” it reads. “Then got her to a hospital in Winnipeg. Mamie has since been transferred to Hospital here in Vancouver. Her recovery is unclear at this time but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement.”
However, on May 26, after she was admitted to the hospital, the 19-year-old “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories. She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” an update from her parents reads.
Following her injuries and hospitalization, Laverock returned home in August.
“She’s still severely injured, but we will take care of her privately,” Laverock’s Facebook page read. “She needed to be at home. So happy for her. She made it this far…next chapter. It’s a blessing to have her home.”
Her family has been celebrating the milestones Laverock has been reaching in her recovery.
In July, Laverock’s mother, Nicole Rockmann, posted on Facebook that Laverock “moved onto her stomach, pushed herself up and held onto me…at that moment we realized we could have our first hug.”
“It’s a miracle,” she told PEOPLE.
The actress, who played nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan in the popular Hallmark series, shared another update earlier this month from Hallmark’s Hearties Family Reunion event.
“At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold,” she posted on Facebook. “Returning to the warm light of the When Calls The Heart reunion. I love you.”
