More Detail:
“Transmission” finds the Robinson family in a camp with other survivors. The group is trying to build a signal so that the mother ship still in orbit can find them. The Robinson sisters urge Will to tell their father everything about the robot, but Will hesitates. Maureen Robinson is concerned that the sunrises are too early, which may signal disaster. She goes off on her own to run some tests and discover how much danger the planet faces.
“Transmission” shows dark influences slowly creeping into the Robinson family’s strong moral values. Will continues to lie to his father. Other characters (like June and Don) show darker motives. Through it all, however, the Robinsons continue to show that they are willing to risk their lives for other people. The family shows positive values like courage and sacrifice. The episode asks whether these deep values can survive in a harsh situation. There is a frightening, violent fight between the robot and an alien animal which may scare young viewers. There is also a strong profanity implied.
