More Detail:

Believing their father to be dead in a ship crash and their mother Maureen to have been kidnapped by the insidious June Harris, the Robinson children do their best to save the day. Judy sets out to save her mother from June’s plans. Meanwhile, Will and Penny lead an expedition to the caves with a plan to get the rest of the survivors off the dying planet. June uses Maureen’s knowledge of rocket science to try and fix the robot’s spaceship. Flashbacks reveal clues as to what may have been the cause of the original, inciting-incident crash of the Robinson’s ship.

This episode feels more like a “part one of two” situation. It doesn’t resolve much of the plot, instead setting up the action for the last episode in the season. There’s a strong moral, redemptive worldview where the survivors work together to find solutions, risking their own lives for each other. They display courage and teamwork and a willingness to sacrifice for one another, but June continues to prefer self-preservation to compassion. Several violent scenes may make this episode unsuitable for young viewers.
