More Detail:
“The Robinsons Were Here” tests the bonds of the Robinson family. The children discover that Will’s robot is the cause of the mother ship’s disaster and actually attacked the ship, killing many humans. Will feels the robot has changed, so the children agree to hide the robot. Meanwhile, the parents find other survivors and go hunting for supplies. They further discuss the problems in their marriage. June finds the location where the robot is hidden and tries to convince it to listen to and protect her instead of Will.
“The Robinsons Were Here” has the same family and communal values as the other episodes but casts a little more gray in the mix. It puts some strain on the relationships. The Robinson children keep a big secret from their parents, and the parents have big issues between them. However, these decisions are portrayed as bad ones rather than celebrated. The deep affection between family members comes through loud and clear. As usual, June’s character has more selfish motives. This episode doesn’t have any overt violence or foul language and is appropriate for all.
