More Detail:

In the MR. IGLESIAS episode titled “Academic Decathlon” on Netflix, Gabe’s students have finally made it to the decathlon despite all odds against them. Marisole, Gabe’s best student, almost transfers permanently over to the honors team. However, she comes back to Gabe’s class when she realizes that Tony, the honors history teacher, would never care about his students the way that Gabe cares for his students. Eventually, Gabe’s class ends up beating Tony’s superior honors class. He also manages to convince Paula to stay as Wilson High School’s principal instead of transferring to an elite school nearby.

The first season of MR. IGLESIAS ends with a happy feel-good ending with the episode “Academic Decathlon.” Gabe pushes his students toward hard work and excellence and convinces the principal to remain committed to the school and its students. That said,  “Academic Decathlon” has some foul language and alcohol use. Also, the episode has brief mentions of drugs, stealing and gambling.
